Bush Farm Sculpture Course 10-4 July 20th

A private course hosted by Sally Veacock at Bush Farm. Make a heron, dragonfly or honey bee sculpture woven onto a bespoke metal frame.


Bush Farm Heart sculpture course 9.30-1.30 July 27th

This is a private workshop run at Bush Farm hosted by Sally Veacock. Make a large woven willow heart to decorate your space.


Willow Dragonfly, bee or butterfly Sculpture Workshop August 6th 10-4pm

Make a unique sculpture for you garden, using UK grown willow woven onto a metal frame made by local Blacksmith Aaron Petersen. Sculpture are on a stand 80cm high and will be around 60cm long when finished.

Child & Parent Basket Workshop August 12th 10-4pm

Make a simple basket alongside your child. This is a wonderful way to learn together, weaving local willow into a functional little basket. Price is for a parent / carer and child making one item together. Most suitable for children aged 8-12.

Assymetric Willow Basket Workshop August 20th 10am-5.30pm

I will guide you in how to make a stake and strand basket using traditional techniques, first weaving the base, then inserting side stakes, learning different side weaves, then finally laying down a lovely simple border and attaching a driftwood handle. Suitable for beginners, numbers strictly limited so book early. You are welcome to bring your own handle!

Willow Foraging Basket workshop September 10th 10am-5pm

Learn how to weave an oval foraging (or small shopping) basket from UK grown willow. Leading you through various techniques I will help you create a sweet basket with a rolled border and a handle for all your foraging needs. Come along the following week and use it on our Coastal foraging course with Sharron! Suitable for beginners.

Willow Hedgerow Basket October 22nd 10am-5pm

Use various collected hedgerow materials, either bring some or I will have a lovely variety, and make a gorgeous textured basket using my own freshly harvested willow and UK grown willow.  You can make a large bowl, with a plaited border, or a small round shopper with a handle. Places strictly limited.

Willow Backpack workshop November 13th 10am-5pm

Come and weave a super practical and equally gorgeous backpack from UK and my own home grown willow. We will make a catalan base and then using a variety of weaves and designing our colours as we go, we will complete a lovely little backpack with cotton straps for a present….or maybe it will be too lovely and you will need to keep it! Suitable for beginners. Numbers strictly limited so book early.

Willow Reindeer workshop November 20th 10-5pm

The annual and ever popular woven willow reindeer just in time for Christmas! About 1.2 metres high when finished, they make a lovely addition to your festive decorations, inside or out. Really popular so book early to avoid disappointment! Made using my own and UK grown willow.

Basketry Courses with Learning Pembrokeshire

Learn traditional Stake and Strand basketry, suitable for absolute beginners and improvers.
All my basketry courses are based in Adult Learning Venues in Haverfordwest, Tenby, Narberth and Fishguard. Starting with round baskets, I then work with each student individually to progress their skills in their direction of interest.
Classes usually run in 5 week blocks, enabling people to try it out, or continue developing their basketmaking skills over time. At the end of each course, you will leave with one or two handmade functional baskets.
